Ruth Langsford drops Love Island ‘six week’ extension bombshell
Love Island viewers were baffled today when Ruth Langsford seemingly revealed the show had been extended.
While previewing Tuesday's This Morning line-up, the presenter claimed there were six more WEEKS left of the ITV2 dating show.
Ruth said: "Just six weeks to go until the big Love Island finale. We’ll chat to our reality TV panel and go live to Majorca for all the latest gossip."
There are actually only six DAYS left until next Monday's final, so viewers at home were left very confused.
Unfortunately, Love Island is actually coming to an end in six days time and Ruth did make an accidental slip-up.
Some baffled This Morning viewers took to Twitter after Ruth's unfortunate gaffe.
One viewer said: "6 weeks till Love Island ends? She meant 6 days right?"
"Huh 6 weeks to go until the #loveisland finale as @RuthieeL hit a timetravel moment lol," added another.
Later on in the show, Ruth did confirmed there was less than a week left to go.
Ruth and husband Eamonn Holmes were joined in the studio by reality TV stars Josie Gibson, Bobby Norris and former Islander Jack Fowler to discuss the series.
With just six episodes left, some viewers are fearing there won't be enough time for some of the most explosive moments from previous years.
The popular baby challenge, which sees the Islanders become parents for the day, and meeting the parents has not aired yet.
