What will happen in Riverdale season 4, episode 2?

Episode two is called Fast Times At Riverdale High and will be airing on Wednesday, October 16 on The CW in America.

Netflix will be dropping the new episode the next day (Thursday, October 16) from 8am BST.

The CW shared a short synopsis for the forthcoming instalment, which reads: “Archie (played by KJ Apa) encourages Mad Dog (Eli Goree) to attend Riverdale High and join the football team.

“Veronica (Camila Mendes) is conflicted when information about her involvement in Hiram’s (Mark Consuelos) arrest leaks to the public.

“Kevin (Casey Cott) applies for a spot on the Blue & Gold to make amends with Betty (Lili Reinhart).

“And Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) goes head to head with Mr. Honey (guest star Kerr Smith), the school’s new principal Charles Melton and Vanessa Morgan also star.”

The US network has also released a promo that picks up with the lead characters getting ready for the first day of senior year.

In the promo, Veronica and Archie are running late for the first day of the new semester as the Riverdale foursome are reunited.

Queen bee Cheryl and her River Vixens are seen walking the hallways of the school as if its a runway.

There will also be some confrontation as it appears that Mad Dog struggles to settle in at the school.

The show promises more sexiness with some shots of Veronica putting on a show at La Bonne Nuit before cutting to intimate scenes between her and boyfriend Archie.

But they’re not the only ones, Jughead and Betty are getting up close and person as well.

However, the mood is quite literally shattered as Kevin Keller (Casey Cott) appears to be terrified as he caught in car headlights in the woods.

Another shot reveals someone smashing the windscreen of a car, hinting that something wicked comes this way to Riverdale.

The screen returns to Archie and Veronica back at school before the screen cuts to black: Riverdale is back in earnest.
