POWER Book 2's Tariq St Patrick actor has confirmed that the show is due to return to our screens sooner than you think after a halt in production due to the coronavirus left fans "livid".
Due to the current pandemic, filming for spin-off series of the long-running series Power wasn't completed, meaning that seven-part series finished two episodes early.
The popular show hasn't been on our screens since October 4 2020 and fans are getting fed up with guessing what's going to happen next with Tariq after confessing his crimes on video whilst drunk.
But Michael Rainey Jr, who has played Ghost's son in the American crime drama since 2014, took to Twitter to reassure fans that they have nothing to worry about.
At the weekend he shared with his 62.5k followers: "Today is Sunday and there’s no new episodes of #PowerBook2#GHOST
"Because of the pandemic we had to stop filming. Good news is we went back to work and now it’s all done
"We’ll be back in December on #STARZ & #starzplay Thanks for your patience"
And fans couldn't contain their excitement at the news.
One replied to his tweet: "Yasss. I can't wait. I hope everyone is staying safe!"
Another said: "Yeah boy watched the 5 episodes over again that weekend do we have a date set in December?"
A third wrote: "Cannot wait, each episode has been exciting. You and the entire cast have been doing an excellent job!! Kudos to all of you."
A fourth added: "awesome! can't wait to see your talent back on tv. television has been dry without #powerbook2"
And it looks like the good news doesn't stop there.
Last month it was confirmed that the show has been renewed for a second season – and show bosses promise that the franchise will 'never end'.
Network company Starz confirmed the exciting news with a short video on their Instagram account.
As scenes from the popular show appear, the words "Season 2 is coming #powerneverends" are shown.
The surprise video was accompanied by the caption: "We thought we told you that we won’t stop.
"Season 2 about to be even more 🔥 #PowerGhost #PowerNeverEnds".
