Terese (played by Rebekah Elmaloglou) has had a lot on her plate recently On Neighbours. From trying to ensure her stepson David Tanaka (Takaya Honda) didn’t go off the rails after Nicolette Stone (Charlotte Chimes) disappeared with his baby to being manipulated by Jesse Porter (Cameron Robbie) to invest in the Quill’s hotel empire. However, as the drama kicks up a gear in upcoming episodes of the Channel 5 soap, could she seek comfort in the arms of another as she betrays Paul (Stefan Dennis)?

After marrying each other a couple of years ago, the business savvy residents of Ramsay Street declared they would not keep secrets from each other anymore.

Unfortunately, they haven’t been the most open with one another as they could have been over the last couple of years.

Despite this, they have remained a united front but Terese might not be able to forgive her husband for one of the biggest secrets he is keeping from her.

What she doesn’t realise is Paul orchestrated baby Isla’s return to Erinsborough by unconventional means when he met Nicolette in Canberra.

The villainous businessman paid the mother of his grandchild $1 million to give up her daughter and stay away from Ramsay Street forever.

Scenes yet to air in the UK will see Terese discover the truth as Nicolette makes her way back to Ramsay Street.

It will all become clear to the businesswoman why her husband was reluctant to invest in the Quill deal as he didn’t have enough funds to do so.

Having been betrayed constantly by her spouse and with no idea if he will change in the future, Terese could be left hopeless.

With her former lover and stepson, Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano), back in Erinsborough, it could be easy for her to go back to what she knows.

In an exclusive interview with, however, the actor who plays Paul, Stefan, explained this is unlikely to happen.

That’s past history

“There is a definite bond between Leo and Paul and I don’t think that bridge will ever be crossed again,” the soap star said.

Stefan continued: “[It won’t happen] either on Paul or Leo’s side, that’s past history and they buried that one.

“I don’t think that is a concern of Paul’s at all,” he added but that doesn’t mean to say Terese couldn’t cheat with someone else.

Although most of the residents of Ramsay Street are coupled up, a former star of the show could be waiting in the wings to have their chance with Terese.

Pierce Greyson (Don Hany) was someone who got under Paul’s skin on more than one occasion and the pair were constantly at each other’s throats.

With Pierce having had an affair with Dipi Rebechhi (Sharon Johal) in the past, he does have a form for being a lothario.

Although, his dalliance with Terese could be an off-screen affair as the hotel manager makes trips away from Ramsay Street in the coming months.

It could be viewers don’t find out about the identity of her secret lover until Pierce finds it too hard to stay away from Paul’s wife.

In one almighty confrontation between the businessmen, Pierce could confess he has been having an affair with Terese.

This could leave Paul angry and heartbroken in equal measure as he realises his marriage could be over for good.

However, for now on UK screens, Terese remains in the dark about her husband’s antics as she continues to find herself distracted by Jesse.

As the staff of Lassiters Hotel go on strike over Harlow Robinson’s (Jemma Donovan) underhand promotion, Terese finds an ally in Jesse.

Whilst expressing her gratitude to the youngster for his help, the hotel manager accidentally calls him Josh.

For weeks, the passing of her son Josh Willis (Harley Bonner) has been playing on her mind as he and Jesse have similar birthdays.

This will be the first time Terese has made such a slip-up but her husband is concerned about what this means.

Despite Paul sharing his worries, his wife tells him he’s reading too much into the situation and she is merely helping Jesse with his career.

Paul could be right to be worried as in later scenes, Jesse receives a call from the prison to ask him if he wants to see his mother, Julie Quill (Gail Easdale).

With the villain having been behind her son Josh’s death, Terese supports her young aide over not going to see her.

Following a confrontation with her husband, Terese decides she wants to see the woman who murdered her son.

She explains she will go with Jesse to the prison to find out what Julie wants from him and to get a few questions answered herself.

Could this be another reason why Terese cheats on Paul as she finds herself struggling with the grief of losing Josh?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5.
