Coronation Street viewers have been left on the edge of their seats for the past half hour, waiting for the final instalment of Super Soap Week to begin and see whether Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) really shot Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).
We left Wednesday’s edition of the ITV soap watching a soaked Harvey grab the gun Abi (Sally Carman) initially had been given so she could murder Corey (Maximus Evans).
As we picked up the drama in the penultimate Super Soap Week episode, Leanne, Toyah (Georgia Taylor), Imran (Charlie De Melo) and Simon (Alex Bain) were all convinced Harvey had been killed from the sinkhole ordeal.
Meanwhile, Harvey had picked himself up, dusted off his clothes, threatened a passing cyclist with the gun and was making his way back to find Leanne.
Bursting into Leanne and Nick’s (Ben Price) flat, Harvey turned around and pulled the trigger and shot what looked like Leanne.
In part two, Nick entered the flat and found what he thought was Leanne laying flat on the floor.
When he lifted the body up, he was horrified to discover Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) had been shot instead.
Cast your minds back to the start of the week before the storm, sinkhole collapse and Harvey’s revenge.
Natasha was on the phone to Sam (Jude Riordan) and Nick, explaining she probably wouldn’t make it to Debbie’s (Sue Devaney) Horror Nation Street event because of the traffic jam she was stuck in.
But with the focus on the ordeals taking place, no one noticed Natasha returning to Weatherfield ready to dress up in the same costume as Leanne and surprise Sam.
Leanne was sickened to realise Harvey had shot Natasha instead of her, but will she survive?
How will young Sam cope if he’s forced to say goodbye to his mum?
Let’s not forget Nick hasn’t been in Sam’s life for long, can he deal with being a single father?
