The first two episodes in the latest season of Midsomer Murders aired earlier this year on ITV, but the show is currently taking a long break and so viewers have been left between episodes two and three.
It’s not yet been confirmed when the next instalment will air, but old episodes from the previous series are being shown on ITV3 regularly each week.
And with so many old episodes being repeated this has given viewers the chance to notice the little details they might have missed the first time around.
Those watching at home have been left confused by the number of fetes held in the village of Midsomer, leading them to question why there are so many.

One viewer took to online forum website Reddit and ignited a conversation with other fellow Midsomer Murder fans.
The post asked: “So what the hell is up with all the fetes? It’s like these villages have a freakin’ fete every weekend or something.
“And the COCONUTS? Everybody goes to the damn fete hoping to win a coconut.
“I mean, Gavin Troy dropped like forty pounds trying to win a stinky, rotten, misshapen coconut.”
Someone replied and added: “Somehow Joyce Barnaby is a judge/exhibitor/participant at every. single. One.”
One more said: “The most ridiculous one was where she was the lone “civilian” judge with three professional judges because she “won” a magazine contest to be a judge.”
This is not the only detail which has left fans curious, as someone recently pointed out the volume of murder Joyce Barnaby (Jane Wymark) seems to be connected to.
Taking to Twitter this time with their view, one fan said: “Has anybody ever counted how many murders Joyce was connected to?”

Another viewer responded and said: “I was thinking she has minions, underlings to do her dirty work. She pulls strings and makes secrets known to just the right people to drive them over the edge.
“But her hands are always clean; she’s at home, trying to make a balanced diet for her dutiful husband.
“But every once in a while, she likes to see the fruit of her handiwork and assure her alibi.”
“Notice whenever she witnesses something, she’s rather cool and sends her husband off; she knows “he has work to do”

“And when Tom finally figured it out that it was his wife all along, he had to choose between love and duty,” it concluded.
Joyce appeared in more than 80 episodes of Midsomer Murders, so it’s not a surprise that she is the talk of a Reddit thread, having been an iconic character.
The latest series of Midsomer Murders sees Neil Dudgeon as DCI John Barnaby for the seventh year running, with Nick Hendrix by his side as DS Jamie Winter.
Midsomer Murders can be streamed on ITV Hub.
