Season five of Lucifer recently aired the shocking season five finale and aside from fans wondering about Lucifer Morningstar’s (played by Tom Ellis) fate. The Netflix streamers were left questioning why Chloe Decker (Lauren German) never saw Lucifer’s real face and one fan seems to know why.

The season finale closed with an epic twist which saw Lucifer sacrificing his life to bring Chloe back to hers.

After escaping Hell due to boredom, Lucifer moved to California where he met detective Chloe and fell in love.

Despite vowing to stay on earth, Lucifer was forced to return after demons started behaving recklessly without his leadership.

Once back in hell, his evil and jealous twin Michael Demiurgos (played by Tom Ellis) descended to earth to stir some trouble as Lucifer.

He stepped right into his brother’s life on Earth and even became acquainted with his girlfriend Chloe in an attempt to destroy their relationship.

Lucifer and Michael were at odds because they both wanted to take over the role of God.

Returning to earth, the brothers got into a physical altercation for the position, with Lucifer fuming because he hated being impersonated – and Michael just wanted to become God.

Determined to stop Michael from progression, Chloe, Lucifer, Amenadiel (D.B Woodside) and Eve (Inbar Lavi) rounded up a bunch of other demons to fight.

During the battle, Michael used his sister Azrael’s (Charlyne Yi) blade and stabbed Chloe to death.

As she ascended to Heaven, Lucifer followed her. He was only able to gain entry thanks to Lilith’s immortality ring.

This was a huge risk for him because he could be burned alive, after being banished from Heaven years ago.

Despite this, he gave the ring to Chloe and she was brought back to life.
