There are now less than two days before the final eight episodes of Lucifer’s thrilling fifth season are released on Netflix. As anticipation for part two reaches its tipping point, the show’s official Twitter page may have revealed what’s next for everyone’s favourite demon, Mazikeen (played by Lesley-Ann Brandt).
‘Lucifans’ believe that the latest sneak peek at Lucifer season 5b could reveal what’s next for the devil’s demonic pal Mazikeen, aka Maze.
Her loyalties remain unclear heading into the next eight episodes, as she traded her allegiance with Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) to join sides with his evil twin Michael in last year’s midseason finale.
However, all that could be about to change with the arrival of Lucifer’s father, God (Dennis Haysbert), to break up their brotherly squabble.
With the latest teaser trailer showcasing Michael’s next step in the war for God’s throne, Maze still hasn’t seemed to pick a side.
Meanwhile, most fans are hoping the perpetually soulless demon will be able to overcome her personal demons and rekindle her hopeful romance with the first woman, Eve (Inbar Lavi).
As Netflix subscribers eagerly await the release of episodes 9-16, a new clue on Lucifer’s official Twitter page has provided some more insight.
They recently posted a cryptic conversation between two characters, one of which most fans agree could very likely be Mazikeen.
The sequence began: “Character 1: You wanted me to find you. Why?”
The post then continued: “Character 2: Because I’m leaving town. Character 1: And? You wanted to say goodbye?”
Season five seems to be gearing up for an emotional farewell between two key characters.
While none of the main cast are confirmed to be permanently leaving the series, this exchange could very well take place in the finale, leaving a massive question mark over the upcoming sixth season.
Alternatively, Mazikeen may be about to finally open up about her true feelings for a certain character before heading off on another mission.

The scene went on: “Character 2: I guess out of all the wretched beings I’ve met, I don’t entirely hate you.”
With Inbar Lavi’s return sealed for the next episodes, this could be the closest Maze can get to an outright declaration of love.
On the other hand, other fans thought Maze could actually be on the receiving end of this particularly underhand confession.
One Twitter-user speculated: “Character 1: Maze. Character 2: Michael.”
“Michael is leaving town, right? He’s getting the hell out of dodge? Hitting the road? Not letting the door hit him on the a** on the way out?”
Lucifer’s devious twin brother will almost certainly be returning for a rematch, with or without the help of Mazikeen.
However, this latest clue may have revealed a heart-to-heart with his short-lived sidekick before he hits the road and prepares the next stage of his master plan.
Lucifer Season 5, Part 2 will be released on Friday, May 28 on Netflix.
