KATIE Price couldn’t be prouder as her son Harvey showed off his piano playing skills at Autism’s Got Talent.
In upcoming scenes from My Crazy Life, the 41-year-old is seen helping her 17-year-old prepare for the show – before he has his big moment.
When the day arrives, Harvey – who has severe autism, a rare complex genetic condition called Prader-Willi syndrome and is partially blind – starts to get overwhelmed and upset and Katie’s not sure if he will make it on stage.
She says: “Harvey can sometimes get upset in new situations and although he’s desperate to perform, he’s got cold feet at the last minute.”
After coming him down in the greenroom with the help of boyfriend Kris Boyson, Harvey starts to gets excited as he watches another young boy play the piano and sing.
Being incredibly brave he decides to get up in front of the paced theatre plays Oh When The Saints, as the thrilled audience sing along
After a raucous round of applause, Katie cannot hide her pride and says: “At first, I was sitting there thinking ‘oh my God, he’s not going to go on.”
“But as soon as the guy started playing with the keyboard, I saw Harvey perk up a bit.”
In another scene from the upcoming episode, Katie is left astonished as she sees Harvey – who has played the keyboard since he was four – play a duet with his piano teacher Adam.
The impressed mum-of-five gushed: “Harvey’s always played the keyboard, but I don’t quite know what he’s capable of.”
Harvey – who has severe autism, a rare complex genetic condition called Prader-Willi syndrome and is partially blind – really starts to get into the music and nods his head back and forth, unleashing his inner Rockstar.
Buzzing after the duet, Harvey cannot hide his excitement, exclaiming: “Bloody hell, that was massive!”
