James Bond 25: ‘May Day star Grace Jones QUITS scene with Daniel Craig’ for THIS reason
Back in 1985, Grace Jones starred as May Day in Sir Roger Moore’s final James Bond movie, A View To A Kill. Rumours abounded that the diva would be returning for a new role in Bond 25 opposite Daniel Craig. However, The Sun’s Bond insider alleges the 70-year-old has quit the film after discovering her role was only a cameo. A source claims: “Grace’s 007 homecoming was meant to be a real crowd-pleasing moment. Bosses were really excited about landing her.”
The insider continued: “Of course, she comes with a reputation, so they organised premium accommodation and rolled out the red carpet on set to make her feel welcome.
“But it turns out Grace was expecting to play a bigger role in the movie and took her brief cameo as a slight.
“She was out of there quicker than it takes to rustle up a martini.”
Before his death in 2017, Moore wrote in his memories about a huge feud he had with Jones before their sex scene in A View To A Kill.
“Every day in her dressing room she played very loud rock music that made the walls shake,” Moore wrote, according to MailOnline.
“An afternoon nap was out of the question. I did ask her several times to turn it down, to no avail.”
“One day I snapped. I marched into her room, yanked the plug out, then flung a chair at the wall. The dent is still there.
“Still, we had yet to do a love scene together. I slipped between the sheets.”
He added: “She slid in beside me, bringing with her an enormous black sex toy. Very funny.”
Meanwhile, Craig has been spotted shooting Bond 25 in Central London this weekend.
The 51-year-old was seen on Whitehall with the Household Cavalry and driving an Aston Martin V8, last used by Bond in 1987’s The Living Daylights.
Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas on April 3, 2020.
