Written by Mickey Brown and Konrad Kay, Industry is about eager graduates who are all trying to take their first steps into a very demanding career.
During the process, where they must prove their abilities, the line between friends and colleagues are blurred as they are determined to reach the top.
The series will give people an insight into what it’s like working for a top firm, surrounded by a culture of pressure, sex and drugs.
But for them to get that all-important job, they must show they can fit in, which means not always doing what’s right.
The synopsis for Industry reads: “Examining issues of gender, race, class, and privilege in the workplace, Industry shows how these impressionable young minds begin to forge their identities within the pressure-cooker environment and sensory blitz of Pierpoint & Co’s trading floor, where meritocracy is promised but hierarchy is king.”
While Girls director Lena Dunham is working behind the camera, the cast includes Myha’la Herrold, The Letter to the King’s Harry Lawtey, Poldark’s Ruby Bentall and 1917’s Nabhaan Rizwan.
