Hollyoaks' Jorgie Porter holds hands with boyfriend as she enjoys date night

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter made the most of the lockdown restrictions lifting, as she enjoyed a date night.

The actress, who portrays Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap, was pictured holding hands with her boyfriend Ollie Piotrowski.

Jorgie mixed stylish with casual, wearing a white shirt dress, and finished her look with a cropped jumper.

The soap star was recently at the centre of a huge story in Hollyoaks, when Theresa – whose return coincided with the Channel 4 soap’s 25th anniversary – double-crossed her family.

The McQueens were being blackmailed by a mystery nemesis, who knew all of their deepest, darkest secrets, and threatened to expose them if they didn’t pay up.

It was later confirmed that serial killer Silas Blissett (Jeff Rawle) had returned for revenge, but it was apparent that he had a mole on the inside, feeding him information on the McQueens.

The mole was, of course, none other than Theresa, who was working against her family because she’d fallen in love with Seth Costello (Miles Higson) – who is Silas’ grandson – and he’d convinced her to work alongside him.

‘It’s like one of those films, when you see the twist at the end, and you want to go back and re-watch it knowing about it, and go “Oh!”‘ said Jorgie.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk about whether she knew of this big twist prior to her return, she continued: ‘I did, actually. Yes, Brian Kirkwood told me they had this big story, and then he was like: “Theresa is behind it!”, and I was like: “No!”

‘I think her reasons for it is that she is ultimately just so in love, and with Theresa, she loves so much, that she ends up doing such bad things with these men!

‘But she does it because she wants to be loved, and wants everyone to love her. It’s sad in a way, because it never works out the way she wants it to.’

Theresa’s betrayal was eventually exposed, but Mercedes (Jennifer Metcalfe) found it in her heart to forgive her.

More recently, the character was seemingly named a suspect in the murder of George Kiss (Callum Kerr).
