Emmerdale: Vinny calls his dad after Liv has a convulsion
Emmerdale fans were confused when Vinny Dingle (played by Bradley Johnson) chose to ring his father, instead of an ambulance during tonight’s episode. It came after Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) suffered an epileptic shock and was then rushed to hospital after Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale) called for the emergency services.
“I wonder how Ben and Aaron are getting on,” Vinny commented and Liv replied: “I hope they’re having a good time. At least it stops him trying to wrap me in cotton wool.”
When Vinny said Aaron was only caring for her, Liv remarked: “I don’t want it [epilepsy] to rule my life. I’ve just got rid of him for the day, so don’t go on about it.”
“Okay, so what do you want to do?” Vinny asked.
“Something fun! Surprise me,” his girlfriend said.

“I’ve got the very thing, I’ve been trying to perfect my dance moves to make them go viral,” Vinny suggested.
Viewers saw him connect his phone to the speak and start dancing.
“Awful!” Liv laughed watching his performance.
All of a sudden, Liv stopped talking or laughing and was seen sitting extremely still staring into space.
She then fell onto the sofa and started fitting, causing Vinny to panic.
Emmerdale fans thought Vinny would ring the ambulance, but instead, he spoke to his dad and said: “It’s Liv, she’s having one of her fits. I don’t know if she’s breathing, what do I do? Dad please, Liv?”
In the next scene, Paul turned up at Mill cottage and asked Vinny when he had called for an ambulance?
“No, I didn’t know what was best,” he argued before noting Liv had blood in her mouth.

“Stop flapping and go and get a pillow for her head,” Paul ordered as they waited for the paramedics.
Those watching at home took to Twitter to comment on why Vinny didn’t ring for professional help first.
One said: “Why wouldn’t you phone an ambulance immediately?”
“Call an ambulance instead of your dad maybe Vinny,” another chimed.
Someone else asked: “Why didn’t Vinny call an ambulance straight away?”
“Vinny’s decision to call his dad instead of an ambulance is baffling,” a tweet read.
Meanwhile, one viewer added: “Well I don’t know about anyone else but if someone was having an epileptic fit in front of me I’d call for an ambulance not one of my relatives.”
“Call an ambulance you idiot, not your dad,” another suggested.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
