Emmerdale fans were left distracted during the latest visit to the village as Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) learned about Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) affair's with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
During Monday's (July 24) episode, Dr Liam Cavanagh surprised his secret lover Wendy with a night away.
The nurse was left feeling guilty as she told her partner Bob that she was heading away for the night with Liam for a sepsis course.

Having had enough with what is going on behind his back, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) revealed all about Wendy and Liam's affair to Bob but but he refused to believe his friend's bombshell revelation.
Bob instead lashed out Bernice and they ended up in a blazing row.
An apprehensive Wendy later jumped in the car with Liam and Bernice watched them drive off in disbelief.
Out in the village, Bob checked in with pal Bear Wolf (Joshua Richard) about his housemate Liam’s behaviour.
Bob was stunned to hear Bear saying that he thought Liam had a woman on the go.
With the news now ringing alarm bells for Bob, he headed off, making an urgent call.
Later an upset Bob revealed to Bernice that he knows about the affair and he'd rung the hotel to confirm.
At the hotel, Liam was left devastated when Wendy admitted she wanted to stop the affair and headed to another room.
However, back at the B&B, Bob was tempted to join Bernice for the night, but will he?
Fans rushed to Twitter to point out Wendy's "lack of tears" as she cried to Liam before calling off their affair.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Wendy's crying is deff not Oscar winning stuff
Another added: "Can't abide whingeing Wendy ffs, stop that pathetic crying!"
A third person: "Please end those fake tears and whiny voice, Wendy."
While a fourth social media user said: "Was the casting for Wendy's character based on who could cry the best?"
Wendy and Liam haven’t been able to keep their hands off each other for weeks.
Despite insisting that she doesn’t want to break up with Bob, nurse Wendy hasn’t been able to resist enjoying stolen moments with GP and crime writer Liam.
Wendy helped Liam with his latest novel but spending time together led to the pair embarking on a steamy relationship.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 and ITVX at 7.30pm
