However, just minutes into her interview on The One Show, Elaine Paige sparked concern among viewers, with many taking to social media to ask whether she was ok. The singer spoke with hosts Jermaine Jenas and Ronan Keating about King Charles’ Coronation.
“We are turning our attention to the Coronation because today the Help Out app was launched,” Ronan began.
“It brings together 1,500 volunteer organisations all in one place.
“The whole idea behind it is that everyone gets volunteering across the Coronation Weekend, and one organisation that knows a lot about that is the Royal Voluntary Service.”
After playing a clip of how the organisation helps people, Jermaine turned to Elaine to chat about when she met the Queen Consort.
“What can you tell us about the Coronation’s champion awards?” the host asked.
She replied: “These awards have been set up for the Coronation to celebrate this historical moment.
“What it means is, we are basically asking everybody all over the country if you know of a volunteer who is special, who will go the extra mile, make a difference in the community.
“Well…we want to hear all about them. We want to be able to acknowledge it and recognise them.
“If you think you know somebody who fits that bill, then the RVS (Royal Volunteer Service), we want to know all about it.
“It can be anybody, any age group all over the country, and as long as you’re over 14 apparently.
“But we want the young ones on board as we want to increase the next generation of volunteers.”
However, following her appearance, The One Show fans took to social media to air their concern for Elaine.

Echoing the concerns, @ronan367 remarked that Elaine’s voice “seems affected”.
@GarethH91097267 asked: “Is Elaine Paige OK? #TheOneShow.
While bionicwoman1321 responded: “I have literally just said the same thing to my husband.”
@Cailleachjack also replied: “Came here to ask the same thing.”
@lauren7639485 remarked: “Elaine Paige sounds like she has some new teeth in #TheOneShow.”
Others were just delighted to see her make an appearance though, with @NTepfan writing: “@ElainePaige Had dinner, washed dishes, made coffee, now I’m ready to see you on The One Show Xx.” (sic)
