Good Morning Britain was hosted by Susanna Reid and Adil Ray on Wednesday morning. The presenting duo welcomed Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab onto the programme and discussed a recent controversial speech made by Boris Johnson. After the Prime Minister lost his place and made reference to children’s cartoon character Peppa Pig during a speech to business leaders at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) earlier this week, Reid questioned his leadership.

Reid spoke to Raab about concerns some people have about the leader of the Conservative party.

The presenter commented: “Viewers are also really concerned about sleaze.

“We know also backbench Tory MPs have been really concerned about the way that they were whipped and told to vote over sleaze reform.

“There are concerns about social care, there’s been some rebellion on the back benches about that. We know that there’s concerns about the northern powerhouse.

“While all of these concerns are there, and as you say continuing issues over the pandemic and concerns over restrictions coming up to Christmas, we have the Prime Minister losing his way.

“Literally losing his way in a speech to the most powerful business leaders in the country at the CBI and talking about Peppa Pig.

“It just doesn’t look like serious leadership,” Reid remarked.

“Well, I don’t accept that,” Raab hit back.
