Dancing on Ice judges and professionals are paid eye-watering salaries

Dancing on Ice is the reality show that kicks off the new year, and series 13 of the ITV series is well underway now.

Celebrities such as Rebekah Vardy, Rufus Hound, Jason Donovan and Faye Brooks are all competing in 2021 and there's already been some drama.

This Morning presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby have returned as hosts, and Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill are back on the judging panel alongside Ashley Banjo and John Barrowman.

In 2020 it was confirmed that some of the professional skaters would not be returning for the 2021 series.

New professionals were announced for the 13th series, including Angela Egan, Joe Johnson, Karina Manta, Klabera Komini and Yebin Mok.

Here's how much the Dancing on Ice judges and professionals skaters pocket for their appearance on the 2021 series….

How much do the Dancing on Ice judges earn?

Current judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have been a part of the Dancing on Ice team since the show first began back in 2006.

However, the skating champs started out as coaches and trained the celebrity contestants every year.

But in 2018, Torvill and Dean were promoted to head judges and sat on the panel alongside Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner.

These days, John Barrowman has replaced Jason and appears to be a hit with viewers at home.

ITV has not revealed how much the foursome get paid, but the judges on Strictly Come Dancing get paid at least £200,000 per series.

Shirley Ballas, who is the head judge on the BBC1 show, commands £500,000 per series.

How much do the Dancing on Ice professional skaters earn?

The 13th series of Dancing on Ice saw a whole host of new faces, not only in terms of contestants, but in the professional line-up too.

In June 2020, it was announced that Alex Murphy, the show's reigning champion, had not been re-contracted for the upcoming series, and in July 2020, that Brianne Delcourt would be leaving the show to spend more time with her husband, Kevin Kilbane.

In August 2020, it was announced that Alexander Demetriou and Carlotta Edwards wouldn't be on the main line-up of professional skaters, and the same was confirmed about Jess Hatfield, Oscar Peter and Tom Naylor in October 2020.

They were all replaced by returning professionals Andy Buchanan and Robin Johnstone and new professionals Angela Egan, Joe Johnson, Karina Manta, Klabera Komini and Yebin Mok.

As with the Dancing on Ice judges, exact salaries are not known although it was reported last year TV executives had secured a bumper budget to secure top stars for 2021.

Salaries for those who take part in the show are reportedly between £20,000 and £100,000.
