Coronation Street spoilers: Tracy Barlow catches Robert Preston cuddling pregnant Vicky Jefferies and demands to know the truth

TRACY Barlow is on the trail of her ex-husband Robert Preston’s secret double life in Coronation Street tomorrow night.

Robert – who’s played by departing actor Tristan Gemmill – will be horrified when he realises that Tyler Jefferies' award ceremony is the same event his fiancée Michelle Connor is catering for.

He’s even more horrified when he spots Tyler and his mum, Vicky – who is secretly pregnant with Robert’s baby – at the event.

Panicked that both Vicky – Kerri Quinn – and Michelle will realise he’s stringing them both along, Robert decides to try and get Vicky to leave the event.

He uses a bit of emotional blackmail following her baby scare in last night’s episodes and tells her to go home for the sake of their baby’s health.

He steers Vicky out of the hotel and – once they’re safely out of sight of Michelle – gives her a protective hug.

But Robert doesn’t bank on Tracy – Kate Ford – seeing the whole thing and storming over demanding to know what’s going on.

So will Robert be forced to confess everything?

Corrie fans know that Tracy’s curiosity has been piqued since hubby Steve McDonald spotted a sheepish Robert in a beer garden with Vicky a couple of weeks ago.

Robert pleaded with Steve not to reveal his secret and Steve agreed on the condition that Robert tell Tracy he saw Steve at the gym.

Steve needed an alibi so he and best mate Tim Metcalfe could carry on with their secret unicorn party business without Tracy getting wind of it.

But when Tracy rumbled Steve’s new venture, she wanted to know why Robert had covered for him.

After finding out that Robert had been spotted with Vicky, Tracy has been like a dog with a bone trying to figure out what he’s up to behind Michelle’s back.

The Sun Online revealed earlier this year that Robert’s baby secret would be the reason why Michelle – aka Kym Marsh – would leave the cobbles for good.

A soap insider said back in June: “This fling takes place while Michelle and Robert temporarily split up, then when they’re reunited they decide to have a secret wedding, by inviting guests on the premise it’s for his 50th birthday.

“But Vicky reveals she is pregnant with his baby, which poses a real dilemma for him as he has always wanted to be a father.

"That leaves him with a huge decision over whether he stays with Michelle, the woman he loves but who doesn’t want a baby, or leaves her to guarantee a new life as a father?  Either way, it results in Michelle leaving the cobbles for good — but not before the inevitable whirlwind of drama has played out.”

Kym, who is leaving after 13 years on the soap, has seen her character endure two brothers dying, survive a minibus crash, a stalker, her son swapped at birth and a stillborn baby.

Though her character Michelle deserves a break, it only seems fitting she leaves with one final shocking storyline . . .
