In previous episodes of Casualty we’ve seen Jade (Gabriella Leon) wondering about her past. We know she was brought up in care, but despite taking some steps to find out more, Jade has resisted making contact with her birth mother. Tonight, she takes another step towards finding out more.
When a patient is brought into the ED Jade’s sign language skills are needed to help Dylan (William Beck) communicate with him – and Jade quickly realises the patient is actually her ex-boyfriend Malc (Connor Bryson).
He’s ‘the one that got away,’ and he and Jade obviously have a strong bond. In fact she starts wondering whether she made a huge mistake in letting him go at all. Is it worth giving the relationship another go?
When Malc takes a turn for the worse, Jade finds her priorities shifting and she makes a huge decision that might change her life.
Another patient comes to the hospital after having an accident in his wheelchair. Jacob (Charles Venn) is immediately intrigued by this patient who’s had an exciting past and lives for adventures and doing risky stunts.
But is there something else going on? As Jacob digs deeper he finds himself getting personally involved.
Fenisha (Olivia D’Lima) asks Jan (Di Botcher) for overtime as she realises she’s going to need to save up some money for when the baby is born. Despite being pregnant, she behaves recklessly when attending the scene of an accident.
She deliberately ignores Jan’s instructions to wait until the scene is made safe and blunders in, leading to Jan getting very angry indeed. And it would seem that Jan is right to be angry when Fenisha finds herself in danger. Will she be ok?
And everyone is getting a little bit tired of hearing about Noel (Tony Marshall)’s heroics when he caught the child abuser.
