Caitlyn Jenner signed up for I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here 'to get away from US and constant judgement she faces'

CAITLYN Jenner has signed up for I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in a bid to escape America and the constant judgement she faces, according to her former nanny.

The 70-year-old transgender star is apparently sick and tired of "judgmental people" in US and was desperate to jet off to Australia to star in the Brit reality TV show, which returns to our screens on Saturday, to get away from it all.

Caitlyn's former nanny Pam Behan, who looked after her children for five years,  believes Caitlyn joined the show to escape her critics in the US.

“I don’t think it’s a coincidence that she is going on a UK show," Pam, 51, revealed.

“I think she is tired of the United States. There’s a lot of judgmental people here.

“If she had been asked to do a show like that in the United States, I don’t see her accepting that.”

The revelation comes as Caitlyn attempted to end her feud with ex Kris Jenner with an Instagram birthday post on Tuesday.

On the day Kris turned 64, Caitlyn posted a pic of the two together with the caption: “Happy birthday to this special woman! What an amazing mother and business woman you are. Love you!”

Despite responding to all of the other birthday messages she received on social media, Kris completely ignored Caitlyn’s.

Pam believes that another reason Caitlyn may have decided to go on I’m A Celebrity is to gain the respect she craves from her family.

The mom-of-one said: “I would say this is a move to gain the Kardashian girls’ and his ex Kris’s respect.

“The whole time I knew Bruce it seemed like none of them respected him that much.

“What Kris said went. They loved him but he didn’t have too much of a say.

“It’s no secret to anybody that Kris is a controlling person and she dominated that relationship.

“I think Caitlyn finally feels she has a say. There might be a little bit of her trying to beat them at their own game too.

“She is a super nice wonderful person but she is very competitive.

“I think she wants to tell her story on her own terms. Is it meant to harm the Kardashians? I don’t think so.

“But I just think she’s been quiet for so long and wants to tell the world what’s been going on all this time.

“She knows that there are other people who have dealt with the same issues as her and she wants to let those people know its OK.”

Pam worked closely alongside Caitlyn – then known as Bruce Jenner – in the 1990s and wrote about it in the tell-all memoir Malibu Nanny.

Very early on she became aware that Caitlyn identified as a woman after walking in on the then-Bruce wearing lacy underwear and a bra – but kept it secret.

The pair stayed in touch until Caitlyn came out as a transgender woman in 2015.

Now working as a financial advisor in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Pam said she believes Caitlyn has what it takes to win I’m A Celebrity.

She said: “If you spend five minutes with Caitlyn you realise this is somebody who accomplishes what she sets out to do.“Her transition shows that – this is something she planned all her life and she was determined to make it happen.”
