A Place in the Sun took a surprising turn when a couple told Jasmine Harman they couldn't stand looking at a property for a moment longer – because of the colour of the tiles.
In Wednesday's episode (August 4) of the Channel 4 show that first aired in January, Jasmine was in Southern Alicante in Spain with property hunters Hugh and Bruce.
The married couple had been together for 17 years and were hoping to finally give up the rat race and sell up their home in Scotland in return for a more relaxed pace of life near the sea.
Jasmine had mixed success during the search, showing the couple some properties they almost immediately ruled out.
This was the case with the last apartment, a three-bedroom penthouse with access to a communal pool and a large roof terrace.
It was on the market for £141,071 but the couple admitted they hated the terracotta roof tiles "with a passion".
"Check out the size of this," said a confident-sounding Jasmine as she took them out onto the huge roof terrace.

"I like it apart from the tiles," said Hugh. "I hate terracotta tiles with a passion and there are a lot of tiles to remove up here."
Bruce added: "Yeah I'm with you on that one.
"No matter how nice the furniture you put down on here, it just wouldn't have the same look that we would want. You'd have to retile that."
Jasmine hit back: "You are more bothered about the colour of the tiles than the size of the outside space?"
Back inside, she confessed: "I'm a little bit disappointed because I thought, wow, three bedrooms, all this great outside space."
"Do you actually want to have a look around at any more or are you done?" she asked.
"I don't think this is for us," they said and halted the viewing there and then.
Luckily for Jasmine and the couple, they did end up getting an offer accepted on a two-bed duplex in San Pedro Del Pinatar.
