Spice Girls 'in contact' with Victoria Beckham as they 'record new material'

The Spice Girls are said to be back together and ‘recording new material’ – and they haven’t given up hope of Victoria Beckham joining them.

Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Horner reunited earlier in 2019 for an epic 13-date UK tour but Victoria refused to join the girls on the tour, 23 years after they first found chart success with Wannabe.

Now however a source close to the girls has claimed that they ‘have been working in London to gather their thoughts and start recording new material’.

‘It’s very exciting and in the early stages but it’s happening.’

Stop! We Wannabe hopeful but it’s Too Much! This will definitely hit the Headlines!

(Sorry not sorry.)

Speaking to The Mirror, the insider added that the girls have ‘also been in contact with Victoria to see if she can be involved’ but Posh Spice has long refused to reunite with the girls; she last performed with them at the London 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony.

The girls have been back and forth over whether they will release new music but Mel B has long been adamant that we would hear new tracks from the pop stars sooner rather than later.

Mel has also made it her mission to get all five members of the band together for a special Glastonbury performance next year to celebrate 50 years of the festival.

Scary Spice told the Mail On Sunday’s Event magazine: ‘Victoria is Victoria. She didn’t want to do it. She missed out. But my plan is for all five of us to do Glastonbury next year for the 50th anniversary.

‘I’m in the process of persuading Victoria to do it. And I will make it happen.’
