S Club 7 Jo OMeara in emergency hospital dash with absolutely horrendous pain

S Club 7 star Jo O'Meara has been rushed to hospital suffering with "absolutely horrendous" pain.

The star said though she has been "pain-free" for "almost 20 years", a flare-up led to bulging discs in her back.

Jo took to Instagram to share a snap of her lying in a hospital bed as she offered a health update to her worried followers, with an IV cannula in her hand and wearing a hospital gown.

She had her blonde hair affixed into a bun to keep it off her face and an ID bracelet worn around one wrist after checking into the London Clinic Hospital.

Jo wrote: "So after almost 20 years pain free my back decided it was time to flake out on me again.

"The pain has been absolutely horrendous! 4 discs bulging, and a bad case of sciatica, I yesterday went for some spinal blockers at the amazing @thelondonclinichospital to get things moving again!

"It will not stop me doing my shows , and I will not be beaten by it! So I look forward to seeing you all at Gloucester Pride this weekend where I will be headlining, and the following week I will be headlining at Fife pride!

"Make sure to come and say hello! I would like to give a huge shoutout to my unbelievable management team @sagamusictv for getting me in so quickly to hospital This back of mine will not stop me doing what I love so I shall see you there!!"

Jo went on to tease an "exciting" project on its way, telling fans: "Plus: something very exciting is happening… very soon!

"So keep your eye peeled!" she added, concluding her post with: "PS… Sending you all lots of love."

Fans soon poured into the comments to wish Jo the best, with Love Island star Amy Day penning: "Wishing you a quick recovery Jo."

Linda Nolan added: "Get well soon Jo!"

Another fan vowed: "Hope you're on the mend soon!!! But don’t push it too much your fans will all be there for you," while someone else posted: "Rest and recoup!"
