Rebekah Vardy’s family feud explored amid explosive Coleen Rooney claims

Coleen Rooney has sent Twitter into meltdown today after she accused Rebekah Vardy's Instagram account of leaking private stories about her.

The wife of Wayne Rooney shared a furious rant claiming online making the allegations.

However, Rebekah was quick to deny the claims and publicly replied to Coleen's tweet in a bid to shut them down.

However, this isn't the first time Rebekah has been involved in a feud.

Rebekah married footballer Jamie Vardy in 2016 after they met in 2014 when she was hired to organise his birthday party at the Viper Rooms nightclub in Sheffield.

The pair share two children, Sofia, four, and Finlay, two, and she has two older children from previous relationships Megan, 13, and Taylor, eight.

Things aren't all smiles for the family as they are subject to a family rift as Jamie's parents didn't attend their wedding at Peckforton Castle and neither did his grandparents.

According to the Daily Mail, her mum and stepdad also stayed away from the celebrations.

At the time, her mum Alison Nicholson said: "We'd rather not say why even though it's obvious people are now going to be wondering why the bride's mother isn't at her 34-year-old daughter's wedding."

It is not clear whether the family are still involved in a feud.

Rebekah's drama today began when fellow WAG Coleen took to her official Twitter to share a scathing lengthy allegation against Rebekah to her 1.2million followers.

Coleen wrote: "For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram, account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.

"After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion."

The star added "To try and prove this, I came up with an idea. I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account. (Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven’t had stories on there for a while.)

"Over the past five months, I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper.

"And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flooding in my new house."

Coleen continued: "It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however, I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.

"I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person viewed them. “It’s Rebekah Vardy’s account."

Rushing to defend herself, Rebekah responded directly to Coleen's tweet, writing: "As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this.

"I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me over the years can vouch for.

"If you thought this was happening you could have told me and I would have changed my passwords to see if it stopped. Over the years various people have had access to my Instagram and just this week I found I was following people I didn’t know and have never followed myself."

She adde: "I’m not being funny but I don’t need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you?

"I liked you a lot Coleen and I’m so upset that you have chosen to do this, especially when I’m heavily pregnant.

"I’m disgusted that I even have to deny this. You should have called me first when this happened."

Over the past few months, Coleen posted a series of false stories to her Instagram story to see if they would end up in The Sun.

On August 15 The Sun ran an exclusive story claiming Coleen travelled to Mexico to look into gender selection treatment in a bid to have a baby girl.

Coleen made headlines in the paper again on September 28 when the publication claimed Rooney was in talks to join Strictly next year to revive her TV career when Wayne returns to the UK.

The Sun also ran a story claiming the Rooney's £20m mansion was flooded in a storm Lorenzo washout.

Coleen is yet to publicly respond to Rebekah.
