Megan Barton-Hanson dishes dirt on split from TOWIE hunk after whirlwind romance

Megan Barton-Hanson has opened up about why she's had broken up with TOWIE hunk James Lock.

The 27-year-old Love Island beauty has recently taken part in a Question and Answer session with her Instagram followers.

When responding to a fan asking: "What happened with you and Lockie [James Lock]?", she put the end of the relationship down to it "not working out"

However, the OnlyFans star later revealed that she is looking for someone to date who is not in the public eye, hinting that it can cause fractures.

She said: "I've said so many times I want someone not in our industry but it's all I meet when I prioritised work and events.

"This year I'm putting work second and myself and happiness first! I want to travel loads."

The influencers who crossed paths when they were filming the reality series Ex on The Beach have had a whirlwind of a relationship.

On social media, Megan had posted a picture of the then happy couple on her Instagram page, but just two months into their relationship, they parted ways.

It became clear that they were over when Megan removed all traces of James from her social media pages at the start of December.

In December, it had been reported that the two reality TV stars had split – a week after the pair had jetted off to New York for a winter getaway.

A source close to Megan told MailOnline: "Megan's relationship with James hasn't worked despite her being hopeful after he surprised during the early days of them dating."

"As time has gone on, they have argued more, and the holiday they shared together in New York last week didn't go at all to plan."

The Only Fans user Megan first shot to fame after starring on Love Island in 2018, where she met Wes Nelson before called it quits.

Megan then appeared on Celebs Go Dating in 2020 which had her dating TOWIE's and James Lock's co-star Demi Sims – the pair split after filming.
