A morbidly obese woman suffering with constipation was rushed to hospital only to find out she was actually pregnant.

Amy Slaton, known as one half of the 1000-lb sisters with her sibling Tammy, underwent weight-loss surgery four months ago and managed to lose 124lbs (8.8st).

Embracing her new weight of about 282lbs (20st), the 31-year-old is trying to adapt to a healthier mindset and it's not been easy.

There are still some lingering side effects from surgery that Amy has to deal with, including crippling constipation.

Amy told her husband Michael: "Babe, I’m hurting so bad. I don’t know, my back is really hurting and I can’t poop.

"For a while now, I’ve been having trouble pooping. All I want to do is get some relief, I can’t take this no more."

The couple headed to the emergency department of the hospital to find out what caused the pain.

"I feel like Tammy, because my stomach is so big because I can’t take a s***!" Amy said while on the way to see the doctor.

"I ain’t never had discomfort like this. These bumps are not helping."

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Michael had to wait outside the hospital while Amy was taking the test.

After a three-hour-long appointment with the staff, Amy delivered a surprise to her husband.

She handed a paper to Michael and said: "I'm pregnant!"

Michael dropped his jaw and asked: "Are you serious?"

Amy said she confirmed it with the doctor four times, adding: "The doctor told me that he’ll have to take an X-ray to see how much you’re clogged up. In order for you to get an X-ray, you have to take a pregnancy test and all that.

"So I did the test, he came back in and he goes, 'we can’t do the X-ray because you’re pregnant'."
