For Paulina Porizkova, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The model, 55, shared a selfie on Thursday after getting a plasma pen treatment — a non-invasive procedure that lifts and tightens the skin, often to treat wrinkles around the eyes.
The catwalker’s candid caption followed up on her previous post about the “beauty of being unique” rather than getting features “fixed.”
“I’m keeping this strictly about physical looks,” she wrote.
“We all know real beauty is so much more than that- but that muddies this specific conversation. And here is a shot of me after a plasma pen treatment- cause I’m vain and want to be pretty.”
Porizkova went on to open up about her past experiences with being “terribly bullied in school” by her female classmates when she was 14.
“I thought it was because I was so ugly…I was told I looked like a moose, a plucked chicken, a drunken giraffe, and a dirty communist. (What does that even look like?),” she wrote.
The Czech-born model remarked that if she had access to plastic surgery at the time, she would have made many changes to her appearance.
“I would have gotten my lips plumped, my teeth capped, shave down my square jawbone, breast implants and liposuction on my thighs, and I would have given my soul to be a cute 5’5 or so,” she explained.
However, when she entered the Paris modeling world at 15, she became a “model of what other women were supposed to aspire to look like.”
“I hadn’t changed. People’s opinions had,” she wrote. “What happens to women who never get society’s approval of their looks?”
The candid catwalker is known for her honest social media posts, whether she’s showing off her curves and ageless beauty or sharing her mental health struggles.
It’s not the first time she’s documented her anti-aging beauty treatments, as she posted another post-plasma pen selfie in August.
“Guess who’s wearing sunglasses all day today?” she wrote at the time, assuring followers that, thanks to numbing cream, the treatment isn’t painful.
“Day after feels utterly fine. But looks – interesting…” she added.
