At 15-years-old, Millie Bobby Brown has a keen awareness of the way her fashion choices have become a part of her career. So, instead of fighting it, the Stranger Things actress has embraced her role in the fashion industry, and is in many ways taking it over. In the past three years (yes, since she was 12), not only has she fronted several luxury campaigns and landed on the best-dressed list from countless awards shows, recently, she added fashion designer to her ever-growing list of accomplishments.
On Feb. 10, Brown revealed exclusively to InStyle that she is launching a collaboration with Vogue Eyewear. She's following in the footsteps of model Gigi Hadid, who has launched several successful collections with the brand since 2017. The kickstart of the collection features two unique styles (with more designs dropping throughout the month), a pair of red sunglasses and a pair of wireframe reading glasses that Brown describes as "youthful but still somewhat sophisticated."
If you've been paying attention to Brown's style evolution, then you can see how these designs fit perfectly into her aesthetic. They are playful but still have that added element of coolness. Of course, if you want to get a better idea of how she dresses (and how much her fans love to see her looks) then the place to do that is her Instagram.
Unlike many other celebs, Brown is a product of her generation and unafraid to get personal on the platform with both her work and her day-to-day life. That said, she admits that there is a tremendous pressure that comes with so many people paying attention to your outfits. "I mean, I think it can be difficult with anything I wear," she tells InStyle in a phone interview. "I have to take into consideration my 31 million followers. It's very difficult, I want to always remain appropriate for my age but still having fun and still [evolve], and that's a really difficult balance." She continues, "I started in the industry when I was 8-years-old and got into the spotlight when I was 10. Then, I wasn't into the whole heel [and] crop top situation. I wore my Converse and, you know, comfy clothes. Now I'm definitely more into the crop top, the heels, I love my fancy dresses. I love pushing the boundaries but remaining sophisticated."

And despite knowing how hard it can be to read comments, sometimes she still does. "I think for me, I take the picture, I post it, and sometimes I just get off social media as soon as I post it," she says. "But you know there are times where I'm bored with the middle of the night, and I'm looking through my comments, and I see the odd one. Honestly, when I was younger, it didn't upset me … but there are things that really hurt me. Like anything said about either my friends or my family, you know obviously, it hurts my heart."
When it comes to her evolving style, Brown is aware she has a whole career of red carpets ahead of her, and because of that, she's saving some outfits for the future. "I haven't done red yet because it's very womanly, and I've kind of always avoided that area. I think for me, again, it's just the consistency. I always look for key accessories to include in my looks too. I also feel like eyewear is such an important part of a look and oftentimes isn't really incorporated enough."
Outside of fashion, 2020 is set to be a big year for Brown. "Every year is ever changing for me," she tell us. "Last year I filmed and produced the Enola Holmes movie, and I'm really excited for people to see that, especially because a producing credit is huge for me."
