Martin Lewis has revealed how struggling families can get a free pizza-for-two as early as this week.
The MoneySaving Expert said supermarket giant Morrisons are giving out 60,000 pizza-making kits to fight holiday hunger during this half-term period.
Sharing on ITV's Martin Lewis Money Show on Thursday, the financial whizz says: "Morrisons are giving half-term pizza for struggling families.
"There are 60,000, given out via schools in Scotland this week, England and Wales next week, but not in Northern Ireland I’m afraid.
"It’s enough pizza for two."
He also gives tips on how to help out the food scheme.
"By the way, if you want to add to that, if you're in Morrisons, you can pay a little bit to donate pizza kits to struggling families," he adds.
According to the supermarket, staff will be preparing 30 pizza kits per day which will be distributed to local schools and community groups to help support families in need this February.
The kit includes ready to roll pizza dough, tomato sauce, grated cheese and either peppers and sweetcorn or pepperoni and ham depending on whether choose the meat or vegetarian option.
It also comes with a recipe card listing cooking instructions and details of a competition that families can enter to be in with a chance of winning £100 Morrisons vouchers.
All families will have to do is post a picture of their pizza to Instagram, tag Morrisons and use the hashtag #PizzaKitWin.
Sian Ayling, head of Food To Go at Morrisons, said: “We want to ensure that as many children as possible have access to the food they need over the half term break, which is why we’re offering these pizza kits to those who need them in our local communities and would encourage as many people as possible to get involved with our competition.”
