FormerLove Islandcontestant Georgia Townend, who returned to her day job as a marketing executive following her two-day stint on the show , has shared some snaps from her sunny Australian getaway in a post on Instagram.
The 29 year old can be seen posing on the beach wearing a pink shirt tied at the waist and flowing white mini skirt, as well as pouting at the camera wearing a purple and white bikini and matching white cap embossed with a kangaroo.
In more pictures, Georgia snapped a selfie with an real-life kangaroo and shared an adorable photo of a sleeping koala resting its head on a tree trunk.
Elsewhere, Georgia can be seen in a floral playsuit with her blonde hair tied in a French plait, looking out on a field full of giraffes.
The star also shared a look at the stunning sandy beaches and ocean views, as well as a sign warning drivers to be careful and keep an eye out for the local koalas and kangaroos.
Georgia posted the pics along with the caption: “Aussie Album: Vol 1”, followed by a series of emojis.
One fan joked in the comments: “Watch out for the crocodiles x.”
Another gushed: “The Koala is just the cutest.”
A third wrote: “Is it even a trip to Australia if you don’t get a selfie with a kangaroo?! Love it” followed by a heart eyes emoji.
While Georgia looked happy and carefree in her bikini, earlier this year the Love Island staropened up about body confidencein an inspiring post on Instagram. The former contestant shared that she felt 'fat and ugly' in promo shots for the ITV reality show, begging producers to wear a swimsuit rather than a bikini.
“Nearly a whole year since this. I very rarely talk about it because as soon as you do, someone starts yapping on about trying to stay relevant or clinging onto 15 mins.
“The reason I’m posting this is because I’m currently sat in an airport knowing I’ll be in a bikini shortly and how that always fills me with dread.
“And this day wasn’t any different. I remember seeing my promo pic for the first time on my villa phone and thinking, ‘oh my god I look so fat and ugly, noone will pick me’."
“I’ve put on weight since those pictures were taken and now I wish I looked like that, but at that time I thought I was fat. Make that make sense.”
Georgia added that she is still struggling with body positivity, but urged her followers to stop striving for ‘perfection’.
She continued: “There isn’t really a point to this, just wanted a reminder for myself that while I was busy hating the way I looked, I now look back and wish I’d made the most of it.
“Don’t spend your life waiting for your body to be ‘perfect’ all the while missing out on buying the dress you love because it’s not your size you want on the label or skipping the holiday because you don’t want to stand next to your skinny friends…
“You’ll look back and think those were my best years and instead of enjoying it, you missed out on making memories. I’m not getting another body, neither are you. So you may as well love what you have.”
