Emmerdale star Max Parker didn’t let the lockdown get in the way of celebrating his birthday in style this weekend.

The actor that plays Luke Posner in the soap pulled out all the stops to mark his 29th birthday despite having to stay home.

Max called in the professionals to transform his Manchester apartment into an at-home cinema.

The actor uploaded the incredible results to his Instagram account, where he thanked company Hollywood at Home for laying on such a spectacle.

Max was joined by his boyfriend and Emmerdale co-star Kris Mochrie, and the pair enjoyed a gorgeous night of delicious food and films.

“Extra is my middle name,” Max wrote alongside a video of his birthday balloons which filled up their penthouse apartment.

Max called in the Liverpool-based balloon installation company, Blow Up To Glow Up to convert their everyday home for the special day.

The couple tucked into delicious food delivered by Simon Rogan at home before settling down to watch some movies in the stunning setting.

The dining experience is prepared by award-winning chefs and delivered to your door with videos on arranging the meals on the plate once they’ve arrived.

Earlier in the day, Kris laid on an at-home spa day for his boyfriend, and Max was treated to a massage and day of relaxation.

Max’s birthday cake was a towering tribute to Ru Paul’s Drag Race – and featured the show’s most famous queens including, Alaska, Bob The Drag Queen, Alyssa Edwards, Bianca Del Rio and RuPaul.

Kris and Max have been dating since July after meeting on the set of Emmerdale where they play brothers.


A source told The Sun Online: "They met on Kris' last day filming and just hit it off.

"They were cast as brothers and are really alike and have been joking that casting did a great job.”

However, the characters only overlapped by one day and never shared the screen, but are expected to share a storyline this summer.
