Injuries and suspensions update ahead of Dream Team Game Week 7 – Man Utd doubt, James and Alexander-Arnold absent

DREAM TEAM brings you all the latest injury news and suspension updates from the help managers navigate their way through Game Week 7.

Manchester United will be without captain Harry Maguire (£3.7m) for their lunchtime kick-off with Everton.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed the centre-back would miss out with a calf injury sustained during last week’s defeat by Aston Villa.

But the Red Devils boss was less clear about the status left-back Luke Shaw (£3.2m), who went off in the same fixture with a shoulder issue and has overcome illness this week.

The Norweigen said: “Luke Shaw feels better in himself. He’s been ill but he’s still got the shoulder injury. We’ve got to make a decision on him.”

Everton, meanwhile, still have a lengthy injury list with Dominic Calver-Lewin (£5.7m), Richarlison (£3.8m), Alex Iwobi (£1.7m), Andre Gomes (£1.3m) and Seamus Coleman (£2.3m) absent.

Chelsea have three absentees for Saturday’s visit of Southampton.

Midfielder N’Golo Kante (£2.6m) continues to self-isolate following a positive Covid-19 test, while Christian Pulisic (£3.8m) and Reece James (£5.1m) are ruled out.

There is some positive news with England star Mason Mount (£4.2m) fit and available for selection.

Granit Xhaka (£1.6m) will not feature for Arsenal for at least three months after suffering a knee ligament injury during the North London derby. He is Mikel Arteta’s only absentee.

Jurgen Klopp has a selection dilemma at right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold (£4.8m) set to miss Sunday’s showdown with Man City.

The 22-year-old is carrying a groin injury and will not return to action until after the international break.

It’s a similar story for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, who expect Ilkay Gundogan (£3.9m) and Oleksandr Zinchenko (£3.3m) to return in mid-October.
