The return of Dee Bliss (Madeleine West) to Neighbours has kept viewers gripped – and with a reunion with Toadie (Ryan Moloney) looming, it’s only going to get more gripping.
Monday’s edition of the soap will see things take a turn for the confusing as Toadie is faced with both real Dee (having survived her latest clifftop plunge) and her impersonator Andrea Somers – and will learn the truth about what really happened, and where his wife has been all this time.
It all proves too much for him, especially after discovering that Andrea, who has been posing as Dee all this time, isn’t really her at all.
Toadie proves unable to cope, and sends Dee away – but matters will be confused even further when Heather, Andrea’s mum, becomes convinced Dee is her daughter.
Is there really a connection between the two women and if so what is it.
Are Dee and Andrea related in Neighbours?
With Heather having suggested that Dee could be her daughter, the character is determined to find out the truth for herself.
And despite Toadie warning against seeing her, she goes to visit her imposter and convinces her to take a DNA test – but you’ll have to keep watching to find out what result that brings.
With Madeleine having hinted that the pair might be closer than viewers think, as if things couldn’t get even crazier – while her character is also faced with having to explain where she’s been all this time, living a secret life as a woman called Karen.
She also remains adamant that Andrea isn’t entirely beyond redemption, telling The Sun: ‘That motivation comes from a place of wanting or needing something and in her case, it’s wanting to be loved.
‘Which by my measure is not something that anyone should be judged for, it’s just the way she goes about it.’
When did Dee return to Neighbours?
The character made her comeback last week, as Andrea’s mum determined to find out the truth for herself, and tracked down the woman claiming to be Karen who was actually Dee.
She ended up coming face to face on a clifftop with Andrea, solving the mystery once and for all – but almost lost her life once again after falling in a scuffle between the two women.
Dee was presumed dead since her wedding day in 2003 after Toadie drove their car off a cliff and into the sea shortly after they were married.
However her body was never found – which led many to speculate that the character might just be alive after all.
Neighbours airs weekdays on Channel 5 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm.
