Oakley’s Factory Team has connected with Brain Dead to revitalize two of Oakley’s classic sneakers: the Flesh and Chop Saw.
the early 2000s, Oakley’s Flesh design was presented with a sleek and futuristic look; it was comfortable, came in a unique shape and it allowed for a light bulb moment that sparked a decade’s worth of inspiration for future designs. This same inspiration then brought the Chop Saw silhouette and it was designed with an off-the-cuff sole with high functionality which was designed for on and off-road terrains.
With this being said, Oakley and Brain Dead are now presenting the newest era of the Flesh and Chop Saw. And while both designs take cues from their previous counterparts, both shoes come with modernized and sturdier fabrications which are designed to withstand a longer lifespan. Designed with the same sock-like uppers as the prior silhouettes, both sneakers are cut from suede and aeroprene — allowing for added breathability and a lightweight feel.
The Chop Saw comes with a chunkier silhouette and is the recommended sneaker for outdoor excursions. It comes with a heavy-set sole which is fit with undulating technology to offer more comfort and shock absorption. For the Flesh, its slip-on access comes with a paneled design with customary Oakley branding on the lateral mid-panels and toe-caps. Both sneakers are available in an assemblage of colorways, with the stand-outs being the Flesh in a sharp white/black design, while the Chop Saw comes in a sleek brown, blue and red combination.
