If you hate cringe, Roman Kemp’s interview with Keanu Reeves is sure to make you squirm.
The Capital DJ, 30, was tasked with interviewing the Canadian actor, 58, during press for John Wick: Chapter 4.
Now, sitting opposite such a superstar has got to be daunting, even for pros like Roman… but let’s just say Keanu wasn’t exactly vibing with the questions.
A clip shows Roman quizzing Keanu on British culture, asking questions like whether his character John Wick could beat the nation’s PE teacher Joe Wicks in a fight.
Understandably, Keanu was baffled.
However, ever the most polite celebrity on the planet, the actor later replied: ‘Fantastic! I know it’s hard to believe but John Wick doesn’t really wanna fight, so let’s just talk about life and fitness, John Wick hashtag fitness!’
Roman also asked whether the legendary hitman would know how much a halogen lightbulb costs, as he likened his character’s name to the hardware store Wickes.
‘For when you just have to get it done, I’m gonna Wickes my bathroom, I’m gonna Wickes my new kitchen!’, Keanu laughed.
Roman – who has become famous for his impressions – finished the interview by impersonating the star in front of him, which is never not a risk.
The son of Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp explained: ‘So, I try to change the face first, and how I do that it, you’re about to sneeze, lean back, eyes are gone, and you’re now confused about the sneeze, and then it goes, (impersonating Keanu) “What? So you see, what I’m tryin’ to do here?”‘
Keanu was a good sport, as always, but viewers couldn’t help but watch through their fingers.

Commenting on Capital’s Instagram page, one follower wrote: ‘Oh my goodness, that’s utter cringe. Keanu is such a lovely gentleman, I felt for him big time watching this!! 😂’
Another joked: ‘whenever I feel I’m not doing very well at my job, I’m just going to watch this clip back and reassure myself I’m doing just fine 🤣👍🏼’

Tagging Roman’s co-presenter in desperation, another wrote: ‘@sianwelby for god sake never let him do this again 😂😂😂😂’
It seems to have been quite a week of awkward moments for poor Roman, as he also missed out on a £10,000 prize after accidentally eating a rare Creme Egg – oops.
‘What is this??? HALF WHITE HALF MILK CHOCOLATE??’ he tweeted, accompanied by a picture of him holding the unusual snack to share with his 300k following.
However, his excitement got the better of him, leaving Roman gutted when his followers broke the news that the special egg was worth a lot more than he paid for it.
‘I HAVE ALREADY EATEN IT AND PEOPLE ARE SAYING ITS WORTH 10K!?’ Roman then wrote, followed soon after with: ‘I HAVE EATEN IT. WHAT DO I DO NOW? HELPPPPPPPPP.’
It’s safe to say he was left with egg on his face.
