In New Balance‘s lifestyle category, one of the brand’s most prolific footwear models right now is the 327 as it continues to drop in both collaborative and GR iterations. After being reimagined through the playful and Summer-y lens of LA-based womenswear imprint STAUD, the silhouette has now made itself available in a simple yet striking black and gum colorway.
While the color palette of this particular installment is rather plain, it’s the premium materials that make their way onto the base layer that give the shoe its subtle-yet-unique spin. Side walls — which usually see through to canvas — are modified with a smooth nubuck material and overlaid with premium leather, all of which is smothered in a matte black hue. The only stand out element on the base layer is the New Balance branding that is pasted to the tongues which is dripped in white. Down below, the neutral tones continue as the midsoles come prepared with an off-white hue, and the bumpy outsoles down under are whipped up with a gum exterior.
You can find these available right now at select retailers like Offspring, and note that the retail price is set at $119 USD.
