Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has shared an update with fans after taking herself to hospital due to feeling unwell for several days.
The reality TV star is currently pregnant and expecting her first child with a mystery boyfriend.
She announced the news last week but, just days after making the exciting announcement, has revealed she has been suffering with a headache causing concern.
In an Instagram story on Saturday, Shaughna, 28, wrote: ‘Not the most fun Saturday I’ve had. Day 4 of this headache and it’s only getting worse so best to get checked out.’
On a positive note, she added: ‘Heard lil baba’s heart beating nice and strong which is always amazing.’
Fortunately, Shaughna was released from hospital several hours later and shared an update with her worried followers.
Alongside a photo of her two dogs lounging on her sofa, the TV star said: ‘Back home and being looked after by my first babies. Had so many messages checking in on me, thank you all!
‘I’m doing better and taking it easy growing a human is a wild ride lol.’
It comes more than a week after Shaughna surprised her Instagram followers with the news that she was expecting a baby.
She shared the adorable news in a sweet video on social media, which showed updates sharing the announcement with family and friends as well as the pregnancy test. At the end of the clip, Shaughna teased that her baby was due in March 2023.
‘Our greatest chapter yet…,’ she captioned the post.
Shaughna, who rose to fame on the winter series of Love Island in 2020, has kept her boyfriend away from the public eye in recent months.
However, earlier this year she told the So This Is Adulting podcast: ‘I’ve been dating someone who is also a surrogate dad to my fur babies.’
Speaking about keeping her relationship private, Shaughna added to the podcast: ‘I used to say [to my dates], “I’d like to keep my relationship private, if that’s ok with you?”
‘And if they said, “oh no, why would you keep my private?” I’m like, red flag.
‘But this guy was like, “I don’t ever want to be in the public eye anyway”, and I was like, I like that answer.
‘Ever since then, we’ve been going from strength to strength, and I like that because anyone who opts in for everyone to know their every move, like myself, is weird.’
