Slowthai is reportedly hiding out at his mum's house in Northampton after he was accused of sexually harassing Katherine Ryan.
The rapper made a string of lewd comments to the comedian as he was handed the Hero of the Year gong at Wednesday night's NME Awards in London.
According to The Sun, Slowthai – real name Tyron Frampton – is hiding at his mother's home, where he cowered behind the front door when reporters tried to ask him about the ceremony.
The publication says the rapper originally sent his cousin to answer the door before eventually speaking out to defend himself.
He said: "She can tell you herself. She's actually explained.
"It's all there. You can make your judgement of what you make your judgement."
At the ceremony on Wednesday, Slowthai asked Katherine to smell his cologne, called her "baby girl" and put his arm around her waist in front of the audience.
He later got into a spat with a fan during his acceptance speech and threw his drink into the crowd before jumping down to face them.
He also tried to lean his head on Katherine's breasts while telling her: "You ain't never had someone play with you liked I'd play with you."
He issued a public apology to Katherine after the awards.
Slowthai tweeted: "@nme please forward my award to @kathbum for she is the hero of the year.
"What started as a joke between us escalated to a point of shameful actions on my part. i want to unreservedly apologise, there is no excuse and I am sorry. i am not a hero
"Katherine, you are a master at your craft and next time i’ll take my seat and leave the comedy to you. to any woman or man who saw a reflection of situations they’ve been in in those videos, i am sorry. i promise to do better. let’s talk here."
Katherine replied to him, writing: "I knew you were joking and congratulations on your very award-worthy album! I hope you know that a bad day on social media passes so quickly.
"Everything will be better tomorrow. Xx"
Slowthai also denied throwing a glass at a fan while he was questioned at this mum's front door.
He said: "[The fan] chucked something at me, I didn't chuck a glass at anybody, the glass went to the floor."
Mirror Online has contacted Slowthai's representatives for comment.
