Rachel Lindsay Deletes Instagram Account After Getting "Hate" From 'Bachelor' Fans

Apparently, sticking up for yourself warrants harassment these days. Rachel Lindsay is still caught up in this Rachael Kirkconnell/Chris Harrison unending drama. She recently deleted her Instagram account because of the hate she was receiving from Bachelor “fans.” I put that in quotation marks because true fans wouldn’t harass a former Bachelorette.

Rachel’s friend and co-host of their Higher Learning podcast, Van Lathan, shared a video defending her against the people who are bombarding her with rude comments. “Rachel Lindsay disabled her Instagram earlier today,” he explained in an Instagram video. “She did it because that’s how much hate she’s getting from Bachelor fans who are spamming her with all kinds of rude and hateful things.

He added that people need to “get a life” and that she “is not responsible for Chris Harrison.” Which, should go without saying, people! Chris is the only one responsible for defending Rachael’s racist actions (before she even apologized btw) and literally mansplained racism to the first. Black. Bachelorette.

Van continued, “A 49-year-old man who can’t read the room in these present 2021 times. She’s not responsible for that. It’s not her job to make excuses or provide cover for someone who doesn’t understand what the f*ck triggers people in today’s world.”

He also stated the obvious: The Bachelor is a TV show and “it’s not worth harassing somebody over.”

Rachel already explained that she wasn’t intending to get Chris to spet back from his hosting duties. “It was my intention for others to hear and see this interview,” she explained on Extra. “ It’s important to further and highlight these types of discussions. The only way to do that is to have these uncomfortable conversations, so we can understand the underlying issues and implicit racism that exists within our society.”

In other words, it’s up to Rachael and Chris to educate themselves—not on Rachel to make excuses for them.

You love all the nitty-gritty deets on The Bachelor. So do we. Let’s overanalyze them together. ✔️
