Jess Wright has made no secret of her dreams to become a mum, previously admitting it’s something that she’s always wanted. And now, just months after tying the knot, the ex- TOWIE star is thrilled to be expecting her first child.
“Jess is over the moon,” a source close to the 36-year-old told new . “Having a baby means so much to her. She’s finally got her fairy-tale ending. Getting married and starting a family is what she’s wanted more than anything.
“Her mum Carol is delighted as well. Her younger brother Josh is also having a baby, so she can’t wait to become a grandma.”
Jess, who wed her partner William Lee-Kemp, 38, in a stunning Spanish ceremony back in September, announced the happy news last week as she shared a black and white photograph of her bump. “Beyond grateful for this blessing,” she wrote on Instagram, before adding that she’s due next spring.
It comes after she revealed she had frozen her eggs over fears she was going through an early menopause, similar to her mum.
“I haven’t gone into menopause now, but I was getting sweats in the night so bad,” she admitted last month. “I knew that it was
a symptom, so I was really, really panicking myself and spiralling into this ditch of I’m going through menopause, or I’m going to start, and then I was worrying if we’re going to be able to have children.”
Our source added, “Jess was stressing about being stressed, as sometimes that can make it difficult to get pregnant. She had a lot going on, especially with all the wedding planning and being in lockdown.
“She’s absolutely thrilled it’s happened, and so quickly, too. She’s going to be a fantastic mum.”
Speaking to new in April last year, Jess told us she was ready to have a baby. “I’ve always wanted children so hopefully, please God, soonish,” she said.
“I appreciate when you have children it’s a massive deal and your life changes forever, but I’m definitely getting to the age where I’m ready. I’m going to have to do it soon, aren’t I?”
And opening up about wanting a big family, she added, “I’ve always said four [children], because my mum’s got four and I think it’s important to have lots of kids around you when you’re older. But because I’ve left it quite late, I think I’ll be lucky to have two.”
