Oti Mabuse, 30, has spoken out on her Instagram stories following her appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch today and admitted she regrets her comments on the programme. The Strictly Come Dancing pro was seen in a clip on the chat show addressing rumours she was having Jimmy Carr’s baby after he had cracked a joke about them conceiving together while they had danced on the TV show Your Face Or Mine.

Why do you do this to me?

It appeared as though Oti had regret over addressing the 2019 pregnancy speculation with Steph, as she said: “Do you ever say to yourself, I’m not going to talk about this, I’m not going to talk about this, and then Steph McGovern sits there and asks you the question, and you just… why do you do this to me Steph?

“Why do you do this to me. Anyway, I said what I said,” she laughed.

Oti appeared radiant in the video, as her hair was styled in sleek auburn tresses paired with a smokey eye make-up look.

Although the star may have had some doubts over her comments, she appeared relaxed over the situation, as she shared a second clip of her discussing how bizarre rumours began to circulate about her expecting Jimmy’s baby.

The 30-year-old dancer had appeared on Steph’s Packed Lunch to discuss the week’s news stories before talking about her experience with the 8 Out Of 10 Cats host.

The conversation soon turned to the time the comedian had joked that she was pregnant with his child, the Strictly star revealed: “So, this article comes out in South Africa like two weeks ago, and my mum calls me and she was like, ‘you are pregnant!'”

Oti then admitted: “Stupidly I went to Google and I was like, ‘Google, am I having a baby?'” as the camera panned to Russell Kane, who looked gobsmacked.

The dancer continued: “I was like, ‘What am I doing? No, I’m not! I’m like, ‘Mum, no I’m not!'”

She appeared on Your Face Or Mine back two years ago with her husband Marius Lepure.

During their appearance, Jimmy jokingly said to Marius: “Would you go on Strictly? Would you like to be one of the professional dancers on Strictly, or do you think it would be awkward being in the same room as the man who’s having an affair with your wife?”

“That’s a good question actually,” began Marius, before Oti divulged how each series of Strictly Come Dancing begins for them.

She explained: “My husband issues each and every single partner I have a warning.”

This made Jimmy’s co-host Katherine Ryan gasp, and Oti then added: “So, they kind of stay away.”

Marius shared: “No, don’t worry. Don’t worry. They understand very fast.”

“I’m just saying. I’m just saying, they understand,” Marius added.

Jimmy then proceeded to dance with Oti, while Marius enjoyed a dance with Canadian comedian Katherine.

At the end of their routine, Jimmy remarked: “I think there’s a real chance that Oti might be pregnant! I definitely felt something there.”

The hilarious mix-up comes as the Strictly star was supposed to currently be in South Africa filming a documentary for the BBC.

However owing to the current state of affairs in the country, the public broadcaster decided to shut down filming due to the “risk” involved.

Oti explained: “I still have to film it, I’m supposed to be in South Africa as we speak and the borders are closed, the country is in a really bad state.

“The BBC were like, ‘We don’t want to risk it’. What happens is once you leave the border, you need so much permission to come out. You need the police assistance, you need the government to write a letter,” she added while speaking on Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast.
