Country rap star Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, has broken the record for the most weeks atop Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart.
The track has topped the U.S. singles chart for 17 weeks, overtaking the previous record of 16 weeks held by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men‘s “One Sweet Day” and Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee‘s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber.
“Old Town Road” also leads the Streaming Songs chart for a 17th week, another record-breaking mark, with 72.5 million U.S. streams in the week ending July 25, down 16%, according to Nielsen Music.
Billie Eilish‘s “Bad Guy” stayed at No. 2 on the charts for the seventh straight week, unable to topple “Old Town Road.”
