Millie Court hits out at trolls who sent her abusive messages after she shared Covid news

Love Island star Millie Court has slammed trolls after they sent her "abusive messages."

It comes as the Love Island star shared that she and boyfriend Liam Reardon were having to isolate on their first holiday together after Liam’s Covid test came back “presumptive positive”.

Posting a photo of an orange sunset, Millie posted a message to Instagram describing how the couple are “absolutely gutted” after going on the holiday “of a lifetime”.

After updating fans on why she and Liam had been quieter than usual on social media, Millie revealed she'd been sent "abusive messages."

Taking to her stories, the Love Island winner wrote: "I don't normally post things like this but just feel the need to right now.

"I'm sorry I didn't realise I wasn't allowed to write why I've been quiet on social media and that were upset as to what had happened on our holiday?

"I'm sure if the same thing had happened to you, you would be gutted too?

"Please don't message me abusive messages, and if you are not happy with my page or my content, then don't follow me. Simple as that."

She continued: "I'm trying to not let negative people affect me because I am a positive person and we're trying to make the best out of a sh***y situation.

"If you hadn't already realised but with our job being on Instagram we have to be very transparent and I was simply telling you all the experience we've had the past 2 days.

"I'm sure we're spending NYE isolating like a lot of other people in the world, which is sad that we're all having to experience that and aren't spending it with someone of other loved ones.

Millie finished off the lengthy Instagram story by writing: "I am very lucky and grateful that I have Liam here with me and as long as we have each other, that is all that matters.

"Hopefully some people will enter 2022 nicer, less negative people…"

Millie's message on Instagram comes after the star shared why she and Liam hadn't been posting.

Love Island’s Millie’s best looks so far as she continues to stun on the show

She penned: "Hi guys, sorry I’ve been a bit quiet with posting our holiday fun… but we received some bad news and Liam’s PCR has come back ‘presumptive positive’. This means we have to isolate for 3 days in hope it might be negative then.

“If it is then we’re free to leave but if it’s positive then we have to finish the 10 day quarantine. We are absolutely gutted.”

“We had to cancel the desert tour we had planned today last minute, we were supposed to be celebrating tonight what an amazing year we’ve both had, but we’ll be celebrating inside our room and watching the fireworks display from our balcony.”

Millie included a broken heart emoji as she explained that boyfriend Liam had bought her the holiday “of a lifetime” as a birthday present but that it’s “all gone wrong”. She added that the couple were due to travel to the Maldives after they left Dubai.
