Laura Hamilton, 38, has presented Channel 4’s A Place In The Sun since 2012 when she joined the cast of fun-loving hosts. Since then, she has become a telly sensation and with her social media following, set up a lockdown podcast with drag queen La Voix, where the pair discuss their life experiences, however rude.

Called Birds With Baggage, Laura tells all her backstage stories from the popular property program, and in a recent interview she hinted that the two Instagram stars could have their own travel show in the future.

Talking to The Star in a Facebook live, Laura giggled as she teased what might be in the stars for her away from A Place In The Sun.

“La Voix I know was in discussions a while ago about doing a fun, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, type travel show with a travel presenter/personalty,” she grinned.

“So, who knows! That would be a bit of fun, wouldn’t it!”

“La Voix and Laura on the road. Birds with baggage let loose!”

In the meantime, she revealed that they have much more planned for their tell-all podcast, including maybe releasing some merchandise for their fans.

While promising there will be “more laughs to come”, Laura said: “We just want to try and build the following and the website.

“We’re talking about having some fun merchandise with our hashtags; our little slogans that we’ve created, which obviously have a bit of innuendo, bit of twist and a bit of fun with them!”

On the topic of travel, it seems there may be light at the end of the tunnel for Brits wishing to go abroad this year, as the coronavirus vaccine program continues to be rolled out across the UK.

With the NHS rapidly working their way down the demographics to ensure everyone is vaccinated by the middle of this year, Laura was among those to have had her first dose recently.

On Monday, she informed her fans that she’s had the COVID-19 jab at 38-years-old due to her underlying health condition.

The television presenter got the call from the NHS to get her vaccination earlier than most her age because she has Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), an immune deficiency disease.

The mum-of-two was diagnosed with the condition after the birth of her daughter Tahlia, five.

The Channel 4 star is also mum son Rocco, seven, who she shares with her husband Alex Howard.

Earlier this week, she spoke to fans via Instagram after receiving her first vaccination and explained why she had been called up for the jab.

“I’m currently sat in my car. I’ve got to wait for 10 minutes because I’ve just had my first COVID-19 jab. The Oxford jab.

“And I have to sit here and wait 10 minutes before I can drive anywhere,” Laura explained.

“A few people have already asked me why I’ve had the jab because I’m not in my 50s. I’m not in my 40s, yet,” she continued, in view of her 122,000 followers.

“I got a message from the NHS because I have an underlying health condition.

“I do know a few of you on here are aware that I have something called ITP, which is where I have a low platelet account in my blood,” she said, before explain that it causes her to “bruise easily”.

“And it wasn’t all that bad at all,” she added, reassuring her fans about the vaccine.
