K-Pop star Samuel’s father, 58, found ‘beaten to death’ in Mexico

K-Pop star Samuel's father has tragically been found dead in Mexico.

Jose Arredondo, 58, was found 'beaten to death' on Tuesday in the resort town of San Jose del Cabo after a suspected home invasion.

While there is still little information surrounding Arredondo's death, authorities claim his body "showed signs of blunt force trauma."

According to Tribunal de Los Cabos, a local paper, the popular businessman – who owned a car dealership in Bakersfield, California – was discovered "laying on the floor with several wounds caused by a knife in the back".


A suspect is yet to be publicly identified.

On Tuesday, the United States State Department confirmed the death as they told Associated Press: “We are closely monitoring local authorities’ investigation into the cause of death."

Samuel, 17 – who goes by the name of Punch – is yet to speak out on the tragedy.

"My condolence.I hope that you are surrounded by your loved ones and I know it's hard but please stay strong,you're not alone Samuel," one fan wrote to him after hearing the devastating news.


While another added: "We are here for you Samuel and we love you".

Jose was born in Mexico but raised Samuel in America before his K-Pop success.

The Candy singer got his first taste of stardom appearing in his father's car dealership adverts.

He then appeared on Seventeen TV before making it big on reality show Produce 101.
