Jennifer Aniston’s post proved she is still on friendly terms with her second husband Justin Theroux, 50, as she paid tribute to him on his special day yesterday. The 52-year-old Friends actress first shared a selfie of her ex on Instagram, with the caption: “Happy birthday JT.”
She followed this up with a shirtless snap of Justin posing for the camera.
“Truly one of a kind,” the actress captioned the snap, adding: “Love you!”
The former couple split after two years of marriage and six years of dating in 2017.
Justin said in a statement at the time that the pair “remained friends”.
He added: “We don’t talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. We text.
“Like it or not, we didn’t have that dramatic split, and we love each other,” he continued in an interview with Esquire.
The pair first met after working on the film Wanderlust together.
In February 2018, a joint statement confirmed they had decided to end things at the end of 2017.
Part of the statement read: “We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”
Jennifer’s post was shared amid claims she is dating her ex Friends co-star David Schwimmer.
“After the reunion, it became clear that reminiscing over the past had stirred up feelings for both of them and that chemistry they’d always had to bury was still there,” a source told Closer magazine.
They added the pair had been spending time together at Jennifer’s home.

The duo shocked fans during the show’s 25th anniversary reunion where they admitted they had feelings for each other throughout the show, but only ever kissed on-screen.
When quizzed by James Corden, David revealed: “The first season, I had a major crush on Jen,” with the latter agreeing the feelings were reciprocated.
He added: “At some point we were both crushing hard on each other but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship.
“So, and we never crossed that boundary, you know we respected that.”
Jennifer went on to say: “I remember saying one time to David, ‘It’s gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television’.
“Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. So we just channelled all of our adoration and love for each other into [their characters] Ross and Rachel.”
While fans have expressed their excitement over their alleged romance, both have denied they are dating.
The actor’s reps have said there is no truth in the rumours.
