When your mum is a huge TV star, you get all the best birthday shout outs – as Holly Willoughby's son Harry discovered on Tuesday.

Harry was celebrating his 12th birthday, and proud mum Holly, 40, couldn't resist the opportunity to use her This Morning hosting role for a live TV message.

As the show began closing, Holly shouted out: "Happy birthday Harry, I love you."

Harry is the eldest of Holly's three children with husband Dan Baldwin – the couple also share 10-year-old daughter Belle, and youngest son Chester, six.

Although TV star Holly often talks about her children on the show, she is always careful to protect their privacy by covering up their faces in any social media posts of her home life.

Earlier this year in February, Holly celebrated her own birthday on This Morning when she turned 40 during lockdown.

Despite not being able to celebrate with a big party, her daytime TV family made sure she enjoyed the day by covering the studio with balloons and giving her flowers and champagne.

Holly, who also hosts Dancing On Ice, shared with viewers that she was wearing the same dress that her own mum had worn on her 40th birthday, along with a photo from her mum's celebrations.

In yesterday's This Morning episode, Holly was left crying with laughter over a segment about a woman who made up to £3,000 a month by posting videos online of herself farting.

She and co-host Phillip Schofield collapsed in fits of giggles throughout the interview as Emma Martin explained her job and fart noises were played in the studio.

After the interview with the former travel agent had ended, Holly admitted: “I was terrible. Farting is funny though! Hashtag farting is funny.”
