Goo Goo Dolls Announce New Album ‘Miracle Pill’

The Goo Goo Dolls have announced that their new album, Miracle Pill, will be out on September 13 via Warner Brothers.

The band also released a new single, “Money, Fame & Fortune,” after previously sharing the album’s title track.

The lyrics of “Money, Fame & Fortune” go like this: “You’ve got everything I need/’Cause you’re everything I’m not/You’re the money, fame and fortune/The only thing I want.”

“I wanted to do something bold and bright,” the band’s founding member and guitarist John Rzeznik said of the track. “I wanted to sing about the need for human connection and the constant change we go through as people.”

“[The album] is sort of a comment about everyone needing an instant fix, an instant cure for everything,” he added. “We’re living in this incredibly tumultuous time, and I think that people are starting to lose their hope. That was something that just started spilling out of me when I was writing.”
