David Schwimmer is dating a 29-year-old he met in a bar, two years after his split with wife Zoe Buckman, according to reports.
The 53-year-old Friends star has apparently struck up a romance with Katie Markowitz, after the pair ‘met in a bar where he bought her a drink’.
According to sources the pair have been on ‘a few dates’, despite Us Weekly reporting Katie denied there was any relationship when reaching out for comment.
It comes two years after the star announced his split from his wife, whom he married in 2010 and shares an eight-year-old daughter, Cleo, with.
‘It is with great love, respect and friendship that we have decided to take some time apart while we determine the future of our relationship,’ the pair said in a statement in April 2017.
‘Our priority is, of course, our daughter’s happiness and wellbeing during this challenging time, and so we ask for your support and respect for our privacy as we continue to raise her together and navigate this new chapter for our family.’
Before his split with Zoe – who continues to post loving shots of her family to Instagram – David opened up on the effect Friends had on his relationships.
‘It was pretty jarring and it messed with my relationship to other people in a way that took years, I think, for me to kind of adjust to and become comfortable with,’ the Ross Geller star said in 2016.
‘As an actor, the way I was trained, my job was to observe life and to observe other people, and so I used to walk around with my head up, and really engaged and watching people.
‘The effect of celebrity was the absolute opposite. It made me want to hide under a baseball cap, not be seen. And I realised after a while that I was no longer watching people; I was trying to hide.’
It comes amid chatters David could be set to star in a Friends reunion special.
In one of the best pieces of news to grace us all year, an insider told The Hollywood Reporter that a reunion is ‘in the works’.
‘Talks are currently underway for an unscripted reunion special,’ they said – however, let’s not all get carried away just yet.
The publication also made it clear that a deal is ‘far from done and agreements with cast and creatives still need to be hammered out’. After breaking the internet by uploading a picture of herself and her co-stars back together, Jennifer Aniston got us all excited again when she told Ellen DeGeneres that the crew is ‘working on something’.
Metro.co.uk contacted David’s reps for comment.
