Curtis Pritchard says he’s feeling ‘great’ after loosing one stone in weight ‘without even trying’

Love Island star Curtis Pritchard has said he feels “great” after he lost a stone in weight “without even trying”.

The 23 year old professional dancer, who is an ambassador for WW – formerly known as Weight Watchers – said he hasn’t been relying on the gym or “crash diets“ to shed the pounds and insisted he has been “eating more than ever” since starting on the plan around six months ago.

Speaking exclusively to OK! online about his progress since being on the plan, Curtis said: “I feel so much different. First of all I've lost weight, without even trying – now that sounds really weird but it's just because I haven't been trying to purposely hit the gym or purposely trying to eat less or trying to diet.”

He added: “I've literally been eating more than ever now and this is why I'm loving [WW].

“I’m eating more than ever, yes, in moderation – it's not ten bags of chocolate. I'm eating healthier food but still with desserts and stuff.”

Curtis revealed he has lost a stone so far and plans to lose another half a stone in weight, but is in no rush to do so.

“I've just set myself another goal to lose half a stone and I'm in no rush to do it, I want to take its time so my body adapts to it and creates that lifestyle forever.”

As the reality star started his WW journey in September last year, he opened up about his struggles with fat-shaming since coming out of the Love Island villa in July.

And Curtis, who is dating Maura Higgins, insists the fat-shaming comments have since “calmed down”.

He told us: “That’s calmed down loads. Obviously, when we’re in the villa we don’t know what’s going on in the outside world but I came out and we had these articles read out to us because of the aftercare program, which is fantastic.

“And they told me: ‘There’s been a bit of fat-shaming’ and obviously that’s not nice to hear, is it? You come back to the open world and you’ve been fat-shamed so you don’t feel good about that.

“But, I haven’t had that since, at all, really,” he said. “But, I don’t think anyone should do that because it’s 2020. There’s been other things going on in life than people trying to belittle people by fat-shaming any other type of shaming.”
